Adding and removing workers
Invite a crew member, read the Crew list, and take someone off the roster when they leave.
Inviting a crew member
- Click Crew in the sidebar.
- Click Invite crew member.
- Enter their full name and email. Mobile number is optional.
- Pick a role and enter their hourly rate.
- Click Send invite.
Email is required — it is how they sign in. The hourly rate is used to cost their hours against jobs, and workers never see each other's rates.
What happens after the invite
They get an invite to install the app and start clocking in on the jobs you assign them. Until they accept, they sit on the Crew list with no hours against their name.
New crew members start with the basic worker permissions: view assigned jobs, clock in and out, edit their own timesheets, and submit receipts. If someone needs more than that, change it in Settings, then Roles & Permissions.
Adding someone to the crew does not put them on a job. Assign them to the jobs they are working, or they will have nothing to clock in against.
Reading the Crew list
- Name, role, hourly rate, and hours logged this week
- Contact — email or mobile
- Status — On site when they are clocked in, Off the clock, or Inactive
The filter chips at the top narrow the list to All, Active, or On the clock. The count next to On the clock is how many people are punched in right now. Crew hours opens the hours breakdown for the whole crew.
The role you picked at invite time shows next to each name — foreman, carpenter, electrician, plumber, laborer, apprentice, or project manager. What each person can actually see is set separately, under Settings, then Roles & Permissions.
Removing someone
- Click Crew in the sidebar.
- Find their row and click the X at the end of it.
- Click Remove to confirm, or Cancel to back out.
Removing takes them off the roster so they stop showing up in payroll and job assignment. It is a two-step confirm because the button sits in a narrow row and the action is not something you want to do by accident.
Export your timesheets and receipts first if you need a copy of their history for payroll, an audit, or a lien claim. Settings, then Export Data.
